T8 ECU heatshield
The T8 EC heatshield is an effective way to reduce the thermal cycles an EC experience during a normal drive from A to B. The heatshield (depending on heavy traffic) Is able to reduce the cycles the ECU gets back down to 1 cycle, (heatup cycle and cooldown cycle of the ECU encasing). Normally in an OEM setting an ECU experiences almost always more then 1 cycle on drives longer than 20 minutes.
The T8 ECU heatshield therefor makes sure that your ECU either after a repair by us, if you have a used ECU or a new one, that it lasts a little longer (roughly 15 to 25% longer) than without.
The T8 ECU heatshield we offer and sell through Hedin is at its best between a temperature range of - 7 degrees and + 38 degrees celsius. If your climate experiences temperatures that are often above or below this temperature range, the T8 Heatshield is not the best solution for your market and you should consider buying a relocation kit from us. If you live in an area where the temperatures are often below -5 degrees you are best of with the OEM setup.
Please note that the added ground cable is secured tightly after your installation and make sure to run the ground cable to the top left bolt on your throttle body. As this bolt has a similar impedance in regards to the OEM ground cable from the ECU harnass (if its still intact).
Also note that if you order larger quantities that the shipment costs will be higher.
