Under typical OEM conditions, an ECU often experiences multiple thermal cycles during drives longer than 20 minutes. With the T8 ECU heatshield installed, this can be reduced to a single thermal cycle (one heat-up and one cool-down), especially in moderate traffic conditions.

• In climates frequently above or below this range, performance benefits may decrease
• In extreme climates, we recommend using an ECU relocation kit instead
• In consistently cold environments (below -5°C), the OEM setup may be the better option. This also counts if you live in an area where the temperature is frequently over 38 celsius.

Installation Notes (Important)

• Ensure the additional ground cable is securely fastened after installation
• Connect the ground cable to the top-left bolt of the throttle body
• This location provides similar impedance characteristics to the original ECU ground (if the original harness is still intact)
