Diffuser 93NG 2007-2012
This project is finally finished. You can buy them at our website! This project lasted roughly a year. We started off by 3D scanning an OEM 32025847. Based on that we started making a mold with a CNC machine to get a very accurate representation of the original. After that we made several white prototypes to test fitment with at which point we developed several production prototypes in 2.5mm abs to test the rigidity of the material. One of these prototypes can be seen on my own car as i'm still testing wether or not it is possible to stress the material to much. After that we made the real deal in 3mm to 3.5mm thick abs. Saab 95NG Hirsch replica springs
We took a set of new OEM Hirsch 95NG springs to a company in the Netherlands to get them measured to a similar strength and length, then we tested the result of that on the original 95NG Hirsch from the poster. We drove with them to Sweden and back and another couple 1000 kilometers to make sure there would be no errors with the hyperstrut system from factory. We concluded all worked perfectly and started the replica production of the Hirsch springs. This item is for off-road use only.

Saab 95NG EU spec hyperstrut springs
We're currently examining whether or not its feasible to reproduce the EU spec hyperstrut springs in a limited production series of 40 sets. As Hedin is not making them any more and the Opel version slightly different from the ones that SAAB used it is interesting to start a reproduction for these. We're currently discussing with several of our partners if there is any demand for that. This item is for off-road use only.
Start OEM prototype engine V6 twin turbo project
A little more then a year ago I acquired a prototype engine from the NEVS sale prior to the Saab festival. This prototype engine the original twin turbo V6 was meant to be put into a Turbo X-R version of the Turbo X. The original power figures should be around 500 hp and 650 nm. Originally this engine would have been powered by the T9 ECU, which was a Saab developed upgraded engine control module of the T8. Unfortunately GM killed off this project as they didn't want any Saab to be faster, cheaper and bluntly put better than their corvette of the time.
This project will start this summer once the chassis we want to put this engine in is at my storage. A youtube series will be made about the whole process and the differences between the original B284 and this B284XR variant.
Release 3th brake light glass convertible 93 NG
We're working really hard on this one as we see a growing demand for this item, Hedin doesn't deliver it anymore and with our glass kit including some small bits and pieces you're able to make your own 93 NG ice cube convertible 3th brake light. This kit involves a replica of the oem glass we're producing ourself including the right details to make it look as original as possible. We're currently testing our prototypes in the real world and have some issues in regards to the painted edges. They turn purple on our prototypes abit to fast (after 5 to 7 months) while on the oem version this takes up to 15 years before it happens. So this is the only obstacle we're trying to tackle then it will be available on our website. We will probably produces batches of 15 once ever 2 months. If the demand is higher we'll try to scale up the production process.

WIS 2025 based on dtc's
We often get asked at KM-tronics whether or not codes relate to the ECU or several other modules of a car. We get that its difficult sometimes to figure out the right trajectory of diagnosing a car. However we also notice that the WIS in most cases is not sufficient enough anymore as it has not gotten any updates anymore after somewhere in the 2018 regions. So we're going to make a WIS where you can search based on the dtc's your Saab 93NG has. Where it then points you either to the right section of the OEM WIS if that one is still up to date or it will direct you to a newly written format to help you with your diagnosis on your car. This will hopefully be ready at the end of this year and will be free for all to use. It will also get bi monthly updates to include new bits and pieces or new information. The idea is to eventually put all the usefull stuff from the original WIS into this new WIS and add to where the OEM WIS falls short. First we'll start with the 93 NG as that's a car we know out of the back of our heads, and later on (hopefully via community driven additions we'll add for the 95 NG, OG etc. aswell.
Start of production 93 NG estate ledbar
We're currently testing our production prototypes for the 93NG estate ledbar. Mold have been made and we're slowly working towards a finalized production prototype. This addition to the 93NG estate will in someway modernize the back of the car for a 93NG estate a little bit. The ledbar knowledge and such will then also be put into the new moldings we're making for other rear lights of the 93 NG and the 95 NG.
We hope to start selling this product in batches of 20 per december 2025. A sneak peak of the production prototypes will follow in the comming months.
Modular heavy duty DIC's for the T7 powered cars
At KM-tronics we're developing a heavy duty DIC based on the original T.K. 3.7 SEM Prototype DIC that we're originally used in T7 powered vehicles. We however are looking into options to make these units modular, just as with the T8 ignition coils. We acquired the original prototypes used by Saab themselfs at the time and are currently developing a piggyback construction to make these coils interchangeable. We're currently looking into ways how to undo the pairing but if this is for diagnostical reasons not possible we'll make them sellable in sets of 2 ( cil 1 + 2 and 3 + 4 ). Then we're also trying to make them alot more heavy duty than the current stuff being sold by Hedin as we heard the plea from several tuners that the current solution Hedin provides doesn't always work so reliable on slightly tuned or heavily modified cars.
We also understand that we should try to maintain an OEM look, this might not be entirely possible due to the somewhat larger passive cooling block we use, but nevertheless we'll try our utmost to keep everyone happy and try to keep things ascetically the same.
